January 24, 2010 - Garrett opens the season for 2010 with a spectacular win in Light 160 at Tampa Bay.  Garrett also transitioned to World Formula, leaving Sr. Honda.  In his first attempt at World Formula, Garrett finished 2nd, behind longtime friend and rival Matthew Green.  Garrett was extremely fast in practice Saturday, but Matthew's experience in this class was too much to overcome on race day.  Both Garrett and his dad are determined to find the speed and driving technique to make them just as competitive in this class as they were in Sr. Honda and Light 160 in 2009.  Garrett said, "I really loved driving the Formula.  The throttle response is unbelievable.  You drive that car complely different than what I am used to.  I really like the speed!"

December 27, 28 & 29, 2009 - After having fast cars in practice and overcoming a late day crash in Sr. Honda, Garrett has a strong showing at the 2009 Little 500 at New Smyrna.  Garrett finished 5th in Sr. Honda and 3rd in Light 160 in the A-Mains.

November 22, 2009 - Garrett Motorsports had a banner day today, winning not only Garrett's Sr. Honda and Light 160 feature races but also winning the A-Main in a car fielded for Isaak Solochek, a relative newcomer to the Jr. Honda ranks.  This was Isaak's first A-Main win in Jr. Honda and he was the first one out of his rookie class to win a points race. "After today, its official, I am the 2009 Champion in Sr. Honda.  What a great day and a great season!  I am really proud of what we accomplished" stated Garrett.  "And, to see Isaak win his first Jr. Honda race was really cool for me.  I think he is going to be one of the ones to beat in 2010."  For the record, Garrett had 18 A-Main wins in 2009 and 80 appearances in A-Mains (out of 82 attempts!).

November 8, 2009 - Garrett takes both the heat and feature in Sr. Honda at Tampa Bay showing his dominance when it counts.  With this win, Garrett wraps up the 2009 Inaugural USAC Championship for the Eastern District in Sr. Honda at Tampa Bay.  Garrett stated that "the Sr. Honda car was really good and consistent today.  Nobody had anything for us."

October 24, 2009 - Unbelievably, Garrett takes all four races again at Tampa Bay!  Garrett states, "WOW, that's about all I can say.  I had really good cars, actually excellent cars, that were the class of the field.  We didn't draw that good for the heats, but when the green flag dropped, I was able to drive to the front.  That set me up for a pole start in the features.  As the sun went down for this night race, my dad made some great adjustments to our cars.  To be honest, we were in a class by ourselves.  To win every feature race and all but one heat race for the month of October shows that we can dominate.  However, me and my dad both know that the competition will be shooting for us even harder.  To have this kind of success is just great - it's really humbling if you want to know the truth.  I can't say that we have worked any harder these last races than we did all summer.  To finally have things go our way just goes to show you that hard work does pay off."

October 18, 2009 - Garrett sweeps the day at Tampa Bay, taking wins in the heats and features for both Sr. Honda and Light 160.  Garrett commented, "to win 4 races in one day is something that you don't do too often given the level of competition.  We had good cars and good luck all day.  Today was just our day.  I also have to thank Dale Jr. and Kelley for riding out the summer with me.  Since their interest in my program in March of this year, the wins have been scarce.  Kelley has certainly been an inspiration to me all summer long, which has kept me pumped up.  Just being associated with the Earnhardt name gives me determination to win.  To be able to finally close the deal these last few races is just great for me and Garrett Motorsports."

October 4, 2009 - Overcoming some late race turmoil and a questionable racing call, Garrett breaks his summer winless streak at Tampa Bay, winning the heat and feature in Sr. Honda and the feature in Light 160.  "I just can't believe the weekend Garrett Motorsports has had.  Three feature wins at 2 different tracks is unbelievable.  After getting sent to the back twice in the last 10 laps, I didn't think victory was in the cards for us in Sr. Honda.  However, a late race pass by Nicholas Snyder of JR Pierce, opened the door when Pierce got into Snyder.  Me and Synder had come from the back of the pack to get to 2nd and 3rd.  I hated to see that Synder's chain was off, but we will take the win anyway we can get it!  I can't say I earned this one, but at least I was in the right place at the right time.  And, it seems we have finally hit on something in our Light 160 car.  That car was just a rocket today."

October 2, 2009 - Using the momemtum from his Sr. honda win the prior week, Garrett wins his first Light 160 race at New Smyrna.  In Victory Lane, Garrett said "I knew we had a good car, but I didn't think I had enough laps left to take the win.  But, hard racing between the front three competitors opened the door for us.  Garrett Motorsports is real proud of our accomplishments over the last two races here.  We have been really close to a win several times over the summer at various tracks.  To get things turned around at our home track is really special to me.  New Smyrna has really tough competition with any one of 10 cars being capable to win.  LIke I said, to win one here is just really special to us."

September 25, 2009 -  Garrett's take's his first Sr. Honda win of the season after setting fast time at New Smyrna, overcoming a late charge from newcomer Brennan Spencer.  "My Dad and I just put this Sr. car together last night.I had never been in the seat until I went out to qualify.  This new G9 NC Chassis really turns well in the center and is a rocket coming off the corners" stated Garrett.

July 19-25, 2009 - The Quarter MIdgets of America Eastern Grands were held in Huntsville, Alabama for 2009, one of Garrett's favorite tracks. Garrett had an unbelievable run at his first Grand National event, qualifying 13th out of 81 cars in Sr. Honda and 4th out of 91 cars in Light 160.  While he qualified directly into the A Main in Light 160, Garrett had to race his way into the A Main in Sr. Honda from the C Main.  Garrett commented, "I m just so thankful to make the A Mains in both of my cars in my first attempt at the Nationals.  Garrett Motorsports has certainly set the bar really high for me for future events!"  Garrett went on to finish 7th in Sr. Honda and 9th in Light 160.

July 9-11, 2009 - The July 8-11 “Battle at the Brickyard” will marked the first .25 Midget event at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway under USAC sanction.  Garrett stated "just being able to participate at an event inside this place is unbelievable.  There are so many great drivers that have raced here."  Garrett took that inspriration and made the A Main in Light 160, finishing 10th after being involved in 2 incidents.  He also was the Alternate in Sr. Honda, just barely missing the A Main, which put him finishing 13th in that class overall.

April 26, 2009 - In the fourth points race of the year in Tampa Bay, Garrett picks up another win in Sr. Honda.  He finishes 4th in Light 160.  Garrett commented, "My Light 160 car was extremely tight in the heat and would not turn.  I told my crew chief that we had to make big adjustments for the feature.  He tried several things that really took the push out of the car.  We were on a long green flag run and I came from the back to 2nd place, catching the leader.  But, after a caution on the track, I could not get my car to come back in - it was too loose and I fell back to 4th.  Talking with my crew chief after the race, I think we went a little too far on the adjustments.  However, we are both encouraged that we have finally found some adjustments to help the car turn.  We are anxious for the next race to see what we can do."

April 25, 2009 - At the annual Apple Blossom race in Cumming, Georgia at the North Georgia QMA track, Garrett finishes 3rd out of 30 in Sr. Honda and 6th out of 23 in Light 160.  After qualifying in the middle of the pack in both classes, Garrett has to race his way into the A Mains.  With a great deal of luck and cars that were getting better in each race, Garrett proved to be very competitive in Sr. Honda and Light 160.  "Considering this was my first time to race this track in these classes, I think Garrett Motorsports had a good night.  Of course we would have liked a win, but we will take what we learned and be back for the Cotton Classic in the fall" remarked Garrett.

April 10, 2009 - At New Smyrna Garrett finishes 2nd to veteran driver Zack Donatti in Sr. Honda in the A Main.  In Light 160, Garrett finishes 6th in the A Main.  Garrett stated "we had extremely fast cars in both classes; but, I am still having trouble making the cars turn under when trying to pass.  I am working on learning how to change my line to compensate for this as well as trying to communicate better with my crew chief."

April 5, 2009 - Garrett finishes 2nd in Sr. Honda and 5th in Light 160 at Tampa Bay.  Changing track conditions has Garrett's crew chief scrambling to get both cars competitive again.

April 3, 2009 - Garrett makes it to the A Main in both cars at New Smyrna, finishing 8th in Sr. Honda and 4th in Light 160.

March 21-22, 2009 - Garrett has a great weekend in Tampa, Florida in the Inaugural USAC Eastern District Championship race.  Garrett set the pace for the field in both his Sr. Honda and Light 160 cars during Friday's practice.  On Saturday, qualifying began early.  Rather than individual qualifying laps, USAC utilized batch qualifying, which Garrett had never encountered.  Nonetheless, Garrett sets fast time in his Sr. Honda car turning an 8.821 lap - nearly a full 10th of a second faster than the 2nd place car.  While Garrett held on to the fast time in Light 160 until the very last lap of the 2nd batch of qualifying cars, the Stewart-Haas entry of Michael Atwell knocked him off the pole by 0.003 seconds.  As the raceday progressed on Saturday, Garrett won his heat race in Sr. Honda and finished 2nd in the Light 160 heat.  For the Feature events in both Sr. Honda and Light 160, Garrett tells me that "both cars are rockets!"  But, Garrett just can't close the deal in the Sr. Honda race and finishes 3rd.  Garrett's racing luck didn't fare much better in Light 160, moving up fast through the field, Garrett is collected in an incident after a caution is thrown that eliminates him from competition. For Sunday, day 2 of the inaugural event, Garrett was determined to capture a USAC medallion given to the feature winners of each class.  Garrett wins his qualifying heat races in both Sr. Honda and Light 160.  After leading the most laps in one of the most highly competitive races of the weekend, Garrett keeps his car down low to hold off several runs made by Ohio's Ross Rankine to capture the Sr. Honda feature win!  Garrett stated "those last few laps were tough, but I knew I could do it if I could keep my car low.  After getting the win, I had to take a spin through the grass to celebrate!"  In Light 160, Garrett started on the outside pole next to his long-time friend and rival Matthew Green.  Also, lining up along the inside was Michael Atwell in the 39 car.  As the race started, an overcast sky and cooler temperatures began to roll into the track.  Very fast competition combined with an extremely loose race car proved to be too much to overcome as Garrett wasn't in contention for the win.  Overall, with 3 heat wins and 1 feature win, Garrett Motorsports considers this to be a great race weekend!

March 13, 2009After a less than optimal pill draw at New Smyrna, Garrett worked his way through the field to 3rd place in the Sr. Honda heat.  Making a dive for 2nd, Garrett spins out a fellow competitor and is sent to the back of the pack.  With the race time limit out (8 minutes), Garrett doesn't have a chance to work back up into a transfer spot.  Garrett has to run the B main where he finishes 2nd to transfer to the A Main.  Garrett comes from the back of the pack to finish a respectable 3rd in Sr. Honda in that event.  In light 160, Garrett has a fast car in the qualifying heat and transfers directly to the A main.  However, that was the highlight of his 160 racing for the night as he finishes last in the A main.  According to Garrett, "we had a very fast car, but it just wouldn't turn under other cars when I tried to pass."

March 8, 2009 - Winning both of his qualifying heats for Sr. Honda and Light 160, Garrett was positioned to dominate once again at Tampa Bay.  After leading every lap up to the white flag, Garrett slips and new comer Austin Rice steals the victory in Sr. Honda on a green/white checker finish- Garrett finishes 2nd by a nose in the A Main for Sr. Honda.  While Garrett won his Light 160 qualifying heat, longtime friend and rival, Matthew Green was charging hard and had a faster car in the heat.  Knowing that he had to be up on the wheel in the A Main, Garrett was pumped and ready to race as the green flag dropped in the Light 160 A Main.  Immediately, he knew he had problems as he fell to 4th place.  With a right rear quickly going flat, Garrett benefits from a caution that allowed him to pit.  Starting from the rear, he charges back to 3rd place closing in on Matthew Green and Michael Atwell.

March 6, 2009 - Garrett starts the New Smyrna season strong finishing 2nd in the qualifying heat for Sr. Honda transferring directly into the A Main where he finished 4th.  After having to pit for a mechanical problem in his qualifying heat, Garrett had to race his way into the A Main for Light 160.  With a very strong car, he moves up from his starting position of 10th to finish 4th in the A Main in Light 160.

February 22, 2009 - Garrett dominates the first USAC points race at Tampa Bay winning the qualifying heats AND A Mains for BOTH Sr. Honda and Light 160.  After battling with both Michael Atwell and Nicholas Snyder, Garrett edged out 4 victories for the day.

January 25, 2009 - Garrett wins the heat and A Main in the first USAC sanctioned Sr. Honda race in the U.S. at Tampa Bay.  He also finishes 2nd in the A Main in Light 160.

December 29-30, 2008 - Garrett finishes 9th in the B Main in Sr. Honda nursing an underpowered engine and 9th in the A main in his first Light 160 race at New Smyrna in a new race car.

November 23, 2008 - Garrett wins the Light 160 A Main at Tampa Bay in his first attempt (special thanks to Chuck & Matthew Green who loaned Garrett a very fast car!!!).

November 9, 2008 - Garrett sweeps the 13th points race of the season at Tampa Bay winning his qualifying heat and dominating the A Main.

October 25, 2008 - Garrett takes the Spook Classic at Tampa Bay, winning the A Main in Sr. Honda.

October 3, 2008 - Amid controversy and an out of control finish sliding sideways to take the checkered flag, Garrett captures the qualifying heat win over veteran quarter midget driver Zack Donatti in his first Sr. Honda race at New Smyrna.

September 28, 2008 - Garrett makes the A Main in his first Sr. Honda race in Tampa Bay, finishing 4th.

September 15, 2008 - Garrett turns nine and has to move to Sr. Honda.  In second place in points at New Smyrna (exact same points as the leader, Matthew Green, but less wins), Garrett finishes his Jr. Honda career winning his last races at New Smyrna and Tampa Bay.

June 8, 2008 - Garrett wins the Larry Jones Trucking, LLC (his sponsor) Trophy race in Tampa Bay in Jr. Honda.
